We had a lovely stay at the Bubble! We booked the private room and it was clean and comfortable, however very warm. There was a fan, but I would be mindful of the heat when booking in mid summer, I’m sure the room would be a very comfortable temperature during other times of the year. The service was amazing, the staff were very responsive to us arriving late to Budapest due to a delayed flight, and stayed up and let us in at a very late hour. Bathrooms are clean and tidy, but there are only 2 toilets and showers shared amongst the guests. However it is a very small hostel so this wasn’t a problem for us. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Great location and very friendly service. I stayed with a friend in the private room and arrived at 3am from a late flight, the host was very accommodating and communicated with us to let us in. The room was very hot in 28degree weather, the room did have a small fan. Shared bathrooms. Overall we had a great stay!

This is one of those hostels that immediately feels like home. It's small, with a cozy living room and kitchen. There are several volunteers that are very welcoming to the guests. They all go out together quite often and guests are welcome to come along. It feels like being back in student housing. Many guests end up staying a lot longer than they planned. Don't expect something super luxurious, but it all works and it's clean. And be aware that people will come in and out of the living room all the time, to chat, cook, and have drinks or coffee/tea. But everyone is friendly and accommodating so if you are too you'll fit in just fine :)

The Best and Most Friendly Hostel In Budapest The first thing to say is that The Bubble hostel has a private room with twin beds in it, so if you are seeking a bit of extra privacy during your European travels, two people can rent this room for the same price as two beds in one of the dorm rooms. It's the same price if one guest wants to rent it. And Bubble prices are traditionally low so there's a good deal on offer to begin with! Plus it's in a great location for local life on the Pest side of Budapest. I am a frequent guest at the Bubble hostel and I would fully recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. In fact I would recommend visiting Budapest just so that you can visit the Bubble because it's such a rare and lovely place to stay! The guys who own and manage it [Olga and Gabor] are both locals and Olga in particular has been an active participant in the local music scene for many years and is always more than happy to recommend places of interest to visit during your stay. She takes great delight in trying to steer people toward the things they might enjoy.
