I stopped by California Coffee Company during a long exploration walk through central Budapest. The coffee shop is very easy to find. It offers a welcome break from the busy city streets. I ordered a flat white, and it was served in a tall glass mug with a comfortable handle. The coffee had a rich aroma and a silky, thick layer of foam on top. The serving temperature was spot on. The espresso flavor was bold, rich, and well balanced, without any bitter aftertaste. It provided the exact caffeine boost I needed for a full afternoon of sightseeing. The interior has plenty of comfortable seating areas spread across the floor. You can pick between cozy cushioned armchairs and spacious wooden tables. Natural light comes in nicely through the large street-facing windows. It makes the entire room feel bright and inviting. The overall atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Soft background music plays at a comfortable volume. The baristas behind the counter were welcoming, efficient, and spoke English fluently. The service was fast and genuinely pleasant. It doesn't matter if you come here alone or with friends you will always have a good time. You can relax after school or work, study or just hang out. The place has a real nice atmosphere and the service is perfect too. They have a wide range of sandwiches, deserts, classic and flavoured coffees. If you have the time it is definitely worth a visit.

This place could be such an awesome location for people looking to take in the gorgeous sight of Saint Stephen's Basilica, while having a hot or cold drink. However, they miss all marks: the coffee is among the worst I have ever had (even worse that Starbucks), their breakfast selection of pastries is limited to sugary confections, their bagels are just pieces of bread with some sort of cream cheese and their service is inexperienced and not welcoming. We shall never return nor will we recommend California Coffee Company to anyone visiting Budapest.

I ordered a flat white and got this really big glass ; maybe it's American sized X) Other than that, the coffee wasn't bad and it's good quality-price. Plus we can see the monument so it's a nice place to enjoy a little treat.

I’ve been a regular guest at California Coffee Company (Basiliko branch) for about four years, and I can honestly say the service has always been amazing. Special thanks to Mate, who always welcomes me with a big smile and such a warm attitude. He already knows what I usually drink, ( flat white no secret) and that means a lot. this is real hospitality, when staff truly know their guests and do their best every single time and make me to feel comfortable at my own spot.The whole team behind the bar is fantastic as well, friendly, professional, and always positive. I really appreciate all your effort and dedication. I hope the company knows how priceless this team is. Thank you for making every visit a great experience.
