I would not recommend the Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube. The location is simply too far from Budapest’s main tourist attractions, making taxis almost unavoidable, particularly in the evening. There are also very few good options nearby for food or drinks. This creates a significant hidden cost: a room rate that may initially seem reasonable becomes much less attractive once several taxi journeys are added every day. More importantly, on a short city break, constantly travelling back and forth wastes both time and energy. For the same overall budget, it makes far more sense to choose a centrally located hotel — even a five-star property, as Budapest offers several at competitive prices — and enjoy better service without the constant transportation hassle. The distance from the centre might be easier to accept if the hotel offered facilities that compensated for it. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar advertised by the hotel is not normally available to guests and apparently operates only occasionally for private events. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. It appears to be very new and is spotlessly clean. Everyone I met from the front desk to the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great - it's within a convenient walking distance to the metro, tram and bus lines, but outside of the busiest part of the city. We stayed for the Hungarian Grand Prix and it was great to be able to spend long days at the circuit or in the city exploring and then returning to the more peaceful neighborhood where this hotel is located. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river, which we found to be very relaxing.

I had a wonderful stay at Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube during my business trip. The highlight was definitely the beautiful balcony view overlooking the Danube — waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The reception and service staff were consistently warm, professional, and very helpful throughout my stay. I especially appreciated their flexibility in accommodating my late checkout request due to my evening flight. They kindly extended it beyond the standard hours, which made my departure much more comfortable and stress-free. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Budapest. Highly recommended!
