Beautiful court that was built over some time. Decorated with statues and stairs or a funicular taking you up, it offers great views of Pest and the Danube river with the chainbridge also. The complex also contains a museum and Buda castle which shows a lot of the history of Hungary. Go early if you want to avoid the rush as due to its immense popularity, it can get crowded quite quickly.

Hunyadi Udvar is the historic courtyard in front of the Buda Castle which is the site of two major annual festivals. The square is surrounded by the castle and art galleries on three sides and has several monumental statues including the bronze works of Alajos Stobl and the imposing stature of a horseman in the center of the courtyard. Archaeological excavations of historic structures are also still ongoing in certain portions of the square. An art and crafts festival, which promotes local artisans and folk art, is organized here every August while September sees the International Wine and Champagne Festival.

Castle itself is one magnificent structure with towers, buildongs, gardens,...
