Not to be missed. Tickets required to enter which also give access to historical exposition. Hall is indeed just one room fully restored but it is a beauty and at least fixed general idea about opulence of the whole palace before it was destroyed by Soviets (thanks to Nazis) and then by peaceful and methodical Soviet regime.

An extremely beautiful room rebuilt following its destruction during the war. The room only opened a few years ago and is a part of a project that will eventually result in the reconstruction of the palace’s interior which was almost entirely destroyed.

Apr 2026: Magnificantly reincarnated Hungarian history. The best of the country’s craftsman came together to recreate a bygone era. The fireplace ceramics are by a company called Zsolnay which also makes figurines and dinnerware.

First part of the renovations of the castle complex. Inside is lovely with an audio guide to explain. Whole area is a maze of construction at the moment (Nov 2025) and complex to navigate. Couldn’t buy ticket in advance (said sold out) but they were still available from the desk and info centre on the day.

Beautiful view on the inside, but too expensive for what it is. The workers also can be a bit rude and try to rush you through the exhibit halls so they can be on their phones again.
