We took the tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Parliament building is absolutely magnificent, with a wonderfully grand interior, splendid architecture and some fascinating history along the way. Seeing the main staircase and the Crown of St Stephen in person was particularly impressive. The tour itself was very well organised and certainly worth doing at least once, although it did feel a little brief for the price and we would happily have seen more of the building. Still, a genuinely memorable visit and one of Budapest’s finest sights.

This Parliament building is an absolutely stunning work of art—a true masterpiece that you simply cannot miss when visiting Budapest! It is incredibly beautiful all around and sits perfectly right by the Danube River. Even though we only viewed it from the outside, it was easily the absolute highlight of our entire trip. Pictures don't do it justice; it's a must-see!

Seeing this building from the outside is already impressive, but going inside takes it to another level. The architecture, the grand staircases, the gold details, and the ceilings are absolutely stunning. The tour is not exactly cheap, but I honestly think it’s worth doing at least once. It’s one of those places where the interior really adds something and doesn’t feel like you paid just to see a few rooms. Book in advance because tickets can sell out, and arrive early for the security check. Also, make sure you see it again at night from the Buda side, the illuminated view across the Danube is one of the best in Budapest.

Seeing the Hungarian Parliament Building from the outside was one of the highlights of my time in Budapest. The architecture is absolutely stunning, with intricate details, towering spires, and a grand design that looks even more impressive in person than in photos. Standing along the Danube and taking in the scale of the building was unforgettable. The surrounding area is clean, well-maintained, and offers plenty of great viewpoints for photos. What impressed me most was how beautiful the Parliament looked throughout the day. The sunlight highlighted the building’s ornate facade, and the riverside setting made the entire scene feel elegant and peaceful. Even without going inside, I felt like I had experienced one of Budapest’s most iconic landmarks. I would highly recommend stopping here to admire the exterior and enjoy the incredible views of both the building and the river.

Inspired in part by the UK Houses of Parliament, the Hungarian Parliament Building is a spectacular Gothic Revival landmark that is every bit as impressive inside as it is from the outside. Whether viewed from land or from the Danube, the building looks magnificent and powerful. Inside, it is simply stunning: vast amounts of gold decoration, intricate carvings, grand staircases, impressive halls and the Hungarian Holy Crown and Coronation Regalia all help make it feel like a truly must-see location in Budapest. Entry is by tour only, with an earpiece/audio guide explaining the history and significance of the building while a physical guide keeps the group moving through the route. Security is present throughout to prevent visitors wandering too far, and the honour guard and subtle pageantry add nicely to the sense of importance. There is little else to say other than this: if the photographs do not convince you to visit, hopefully my words will. An outstanding building and an essential stop while in Budapest.
