Parázs Thai Wok & Soup-Budapest On our February visit to Budapest, we were searching for something warm in the way of food when visiting the Palace District. The three of us came across Parázs Thai Wok & Soup, perfect. A spicy bowl of Thai soup was the answer to the warm-up we needed. It turns out there are two other restaurants in Budapest owned by the same family. This one is their finest and more upscale. It opened in 2007. The restaurant is appointed beautifully. Many finely carved wood pieces were throughout this bright, airy eatery. Their menu, like many Asian restaurants, is a novel. So many fabulous choices, but we narrowed it down to two bowls of spicy mushroom soup and three bowls of soup. Tom Yum Koong with shrimp, chili paste, lemon, and mushrooms. Hot, spicy, and delicious. The shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly. Ba Mee Luang with yellow noodles, chicken, shiitake mushrooms, and Chinese cabbage. A milder, earthy bowl full of flavor. And finally, I ordered Kuetiao Tom Yum Kai/Muu. This is another hot, spicy chicken soup with lemon, chili paste, and peanuts. We all shared a taste of each of the selections, and the favorite was Kuetiao Tom Yum. The taste and seasoning

I truly enjoyed the food and service here. Will recommend to everyone to go for it. This is my 3rd visit to this restaurant in this trip to Budapest and I am hooked to this place.

I’ve eaten here several times and it never disappoints. It’s off the beaten path and that’s part of what makes it so good. It’s not targeting tourists or a quick buck, just solid food. Give them a try!

Thai Home Taste in Hungary 🇹🇭✨ This is my go-to Thai restaurant in Hungary — the food tastes truly authentic, just like home! Every dish is flavorful and perfectly balanced with that real Thai kick. What I love most is that you can write down your own order in Thai and even tell the chef exactly how you’d like it — spicy, salty, or sour — just the way we do back home. The fish dishes are absolutely worth it — delicious and reasonably priced. The spicy “Kaeng Om Moo” is rich and aromatic, and the Pad Kra Pao Moo Sap with fried egg is simply perfection. Don’t miss the Tod Mun (Thai fish cakes) — crispy outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. The staff are always smiling, friendly, and attentive — they’re ready to help the moment you need something. The Thai chef is so kind and always greets customers warmly. What’s even more heartwarming is that they always serve a little Thai dessert at the end — such a lovely touch! Highly recommended for anyone who misses home and craves real Thai comfort food. This place truly feels like a little piece of Thailand in Hungary.
