Great Place for Public Viewing. They showed every game for the Europameisterschaft and the World Cup. You can bring your own drinks and food. ATTENTION: The prices for food there can be very expensive! I would suggest to arrive 45-60 minutes before the games, so you have a table to sit.

One of those cool places in Budapest you just randomly walk into and are pleasantly surprised.

Liberty Square (Budapest) is basically history having a group meeting in statue form 🗽😅 — powerful, awkward, and impossible to ignore. Statues you’ll see: 🗽 Ronald Reagan – confidently mid-stride, Cold War swagger on point 🕴️ George H.W. Bush – calm, diplomatic energy 🪖 Soviet War Memorial – towering, serious, and still controversial 👼🏻🦅 German Occupation Memorial – dramatic angel vs. eagle symbolism 👨🏻✈️ General Bandholtz – casual hero stance with historical sass 🐸 Tiny Kolodko mini-statues – blink and you’ll miss them, but they’re fun Quick take: Open, green, and packed with political drama in bronze. Come for the walk, stay for the statues silently judging everyone 📸✨

Szabadság Square is a pleasant and well-kept urban park that offers a calm break from the surrounding city streets. The open layout, green areas, and fountains create a relaxed atmosphere that works well for both short pauses and longer walks. The square feels spacious and balanced, with plenty of room to sit, walk, or simply observe daily life. Even when there are people around, it never feels overwhelming thanks to the generous proportions and thoughtful design. Its central location makes it an easy stop while exploring the city, and it connects naturally with nearby landmarks and museums. The mix of greenery, open space, and architectural surroundings gives the square a refined yet accessible character. A well-organized public space that adds breathing room to the city and fits naturally into any Budapest itinerary.
