What a hidden gem!! The coolest looking castle in a huge area radius. Honestly a really great castle, free admission to the grounds. It has maxed out aura points, had a wonderful vibe all visit. 10/10, recommend this place if for nothing more than to admire the gorgeous architecture. Whilst you’re nearby, make sure to visit Heroes Square and the hot air balloon nearby.

Leaving the park pictures here as I cannot find a way to review City Park. What a large lovely area we'll connected to the city, the baths, and some beautiful churches. The perfect place to go to for a nice warm May day in the sun.

Incredible park, one of the highlights of my trip to budapest. Very close to public transport with busses and metro either on the grounds or right next to them. Numerous castles palaces and other buildings on site with various water features like a lake and canals. Was incredibly beautiful and well kept. The vastness of it definitely helped too as it didn't feel busy at all, I mean it really wasn't anyway. Great experience.

A public park that is free to enter. A place with an interesting origin story. You can also visit the Heroe's square since it's right next to it. You can jog/do exercise, stroll around or spend time with friends and family. Seems to be an outdoor concert venue too.

Vajdahunyad Castle is truly one of the most majestic and unforgettable places in Budapest. The castle looks like it has been taken straight out of a fairytale, with its mix of architectural styles, detailed towers, and dramatic structures that instantly catch your eye. The surrounding scenery makes it even more special — the peaceful lake, green park, and open space create a perfect balance between nature and history. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk slowly, take in the views, and feel completely relaxed. At any time of day, it has a different charm, but especially when the light hits the castle or reflects on the water, it becomes absolutely magical. A perfect spot for photos, quiet moments, and simply enjoying one of the most beautiful landscapes in Budapest.
