I usually work long hours during the week and I often pay bills at Budapest Post Office 72, which is at Keleti Station and which is usually open even on Sundays. The staff is nice and helpful. I can only praise them.

Very great and nice service! came here to mail postcards to Italy and the US, I got everything done in minutes and no communication problem with only using English

This is the only post office that stayed open during the New Year weekend for sending postcards and letters, which is really convenient. The price for international express shipping is a little expensive, but the staff member explained that without express service it could take a month, and I also feel there is a higher risk of items getting lost. Out of 6 postcards (3 within Europe and 3 international), 5 arrived safely. The one that (until now) didn't arrive is more likely an issue on the receiver’s side. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the service and would recommend this place to anyone sending postcards internationally.

VERY RUDE, we pay their salary with our tax money, they have to behave better! Insufferable and rude employees

There was a very nice younger lass who helped me when everyone else was content being useless. She is the shining light in this post office

I went to pick up my address card/residency permit because I am temporarily staying in Budapest for my studies. At first, I was a bit confused — when I entered the post I went straight ahead instead of to the right. The section straight ahead, where you have to take a ticket to be seen to mail somethin or pay somethin or buy stamps etc., was confusing because the staff didn’t speak English and I was not aware that to pick up somethin it was in another area of the building. Thankfully, a kind customer helped me out (bless her!). On the right-hand side of the building is the parcel pickup section, and the staff there were much friendlier — the lady I spoke with was helpful, and she spoke English, and the process didn’t take long at all. I hadn’t even realized my documents were attempted to be delivered; probably no real attempt was made though but honestly that happens in many countries, not just here. Overall, the experience ended up being fine thanks to the helpful people along the way. (For context: I am learning Hungarian but I am still in the basic level...so still relying heavily on English right now😭)

No amount of words can describe how horrible people are treated here. Uneducated employees who take pride in laughing in people’s faces when they try to receive their parcels. The lady with grey hair in a ponytail refused to give me my residence permit, because I didn’t have a parcel number, though I have an address and a passport. I broke down crying and only then her colleague went and got my letter. It took her 1 MINUTE to get it. Really was it necessary to make someone beg and cry? Disgusting.

Horrible service. I understand being underpaid and working a boring public employee job. I understand the "communist" past (which is an excuse actually), I understand the horrible economy of Hungary but such poor manners are never justified.
