I am a 90s kid from Hungary. It was such a nostalgic trip. I recognised plenty of displays and was fun to relate stories from my parents' time. Highly recommend this museum! Most of the interactive games were in English, but some only in Hungarian. Staff was helpful and kind. We tried Bambi from the bar. 10/10 experience. I spent the most time at the space exhibit.

Their reponse is weird. Maybe something's lost in translation. I am well over the age group they mention. It's overpriced, it's gimmicky, and it's very small. It was a mishmash of pop culture items that will look good in pictures. The AC was good. I still wouldn't recommend a place. I wouldn't recommend this unless you want to kill 15–20 minutes and spend a lot of money. Unless we missed something, the museum is very small. Maybe younger children would enjoy it since many of the exhibits are interactive and you're encouraged to touch things, open doors, and explore. Or Maybe it would have been more interesting if we had more context about what we were looking at, but we were finished in less than 20 minutes and left feeling actually pretty cranky about it. Dont really recommend.

A vibrant and interactive look into the past. A nice little stop to get off the street and see something different. Quite a small collection split over three floors, some displays missing some English (with some lacking any info/context), but overall worth a visit for the visual contrast. Weekday tickets are also cheaper!

Simply one of the best museums I've ever been too. Amazing collection with very entertaining interactive items. Staff is very nice and pleasant too. In the bar I had a mignon and an orange Bambi,loved it. A must,when visiting Budapest. I put a few pics here but you have to see it in person for the actual experience:) There's so much to discover!

The Budapest Retro Élményközpont offers a unique insight into Hungarian life through time. It's presented in an extremely engaging way with plenty of interesting items on display and interactive elements. I'd highly recommend a visit during your time in Budapest!
