I do not recommend this place to anyone. After today’s celebration at Kossuth Square, we tried to buy a bottle of wine here — but unfortunately we did not even get that far. Our children were with us, and they ran ahead to use the restroom. I went over to one of the waiters to explain the situation, starting with: ‘The children would like to use the restroom…’ when the ‘gentleman’ immediately interrupted me and launched into how unhappy he was about it, that the restroom was not public, that they have to clean it, and that it was ‘for customers only’ — I practically did not even get the chance to explain the situation properly. Out of embarrassment, I tried to give the (supposedly) waiter 1,000 forints, thinking perhaps there was some minimum purchase requirement; we could easily buy the wine afterward. But he arrogantly informed me that ‘this is not about the money, but about principles — though now they may go’ (meaning the children could use the restroom). I should add that at the neighboring restaurant there was a long line winding between the tables with people waiting for the restroom, and the staff there handled the situation kindly and with a smile. Relaxing space with knowledgeable and charismatic owner. He did a great job educating us on different Hungarian wines and made us feel welcome. One of our favorite spots this trip!

Service was polite and useful, place has a very wide selection of wine, both Hungarian and international. We got good recommendation according to our taste, however they never ask for your budget and gives you according to your taste only without mentioning price. One wine we were served was triple price the other one and while very good the bill was surprising. I think the price range should be mentioned when they recommend higher end wines.

Upscale wine bar and wine shop. The place is truly about fine wine and champagne. Sophisticated service, wide selection by the glass. Carefully selected international and Hungarian items.
