Spiritual place in the heart of Buda. Not quite a tourist attraction. Peace and serenity is found there.

The Tomb of Gül Baba is a beautiful and peaceful reminder of Budapest's rich Islamic heritage. Nestled on a quiet hillside, it offers a unique atmosphere for reflection and appreciation of history. The site is well preserved, and its gardens provide a wonderful place to pause and enjoy the surroundings. It is a meaningful destination for anyone interested in the city's past and a valuable part of Budapest's historical and spiritual heritage. Highly recommended for a visit.

Nicely renoveled, interesting monument with a calm athmosphere. The exhibition presents the Turkish occupation of Budapest, the person of Gül Baba himself and the history of his thomb. The entrance is free, and it is certainly worth a visit if you are either from Budapest, or from Turkey, or even if you are just interested in this period of history. The roses are stunning too. And the chestnut tree planted by János Wagner also deserves a mention and visit!

Very cool piece of history. The tomb and surrounding area is very nicely developed with a cafe, rose garden, and beautiful views of the city. It's also in a very convenient location although it is a bit hidden from the main traffic. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Peaceful shrine surrounded by nature, lovely flowers and overlooks the Danube. Turkish and Hungarian gvt restored it, so it's a real jewel of Ottoman heritage in Budapest. Get ready for some steps to get to the top. The entrance is free. You can visit the coffin of Gyul Baba and also climb the lookout to have a better view of the city.

Lovely exhibition on Turkish culture and history. The gardens around the Tomb are filled with flowers from spring to autumn. You have to walk up a steep hill to reach it, but the view says it all. Arriving a kind old gentlemen greeted us and told us about the Tomb and its surroundings (he speasks good Hungarian, English and Turkish as well). The museum has a little cafe where you can taste authentic Turkish coffee and delights. Also a little gift shop that sells rose scented goods. Certainly worth a visit if you travel around its free and it takes just about an hour or two.
