The location is nice, close to the river, can sit inside (shade and cool) or out on the street (on a quiet street). The staff is friendly and professional. The food is tasty, the portion is enough. Fish soup is a signature dish, must try. Can ask small or big portion. The pasta with cottage cheese and bacon was listed among apetizers but it is as large as a main dish.

The portion is relatively large for main courses. The lemonade is great, beer is great, and fish soup is very nice. The tables are too close to each other, and it is difficult to squeeze yourself between chairs and tables when the place is full. The service is average that mostly very occupied with a large group inside.

Enjoyed lunch here. Had a Fish Soup with Carp fillets and roe, a grilled whole trout and a chiffon cake dessert. All were delicious but the stand out was the grilled whole trout! Stupendously delicious. Highly recommended although prices are a tad on the high side.

After visiting the national museum, this is the perfect place to relax for a while. It’s just outside the busy area, but still close to everything. The service was incredibly friendly and professional. At several other restaurants we couldn’t get a table outside for our group of 6, but here they didn’t make it difficult at all. They immediately made space for us and came over right away to ask what we wanted to drink. It’s mainly a fish restaurant, but the pike-perch risotto is highly recommended. The chicken parmesan was also absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, great food, and the perfect spot to recharge before continuing your day.

We visited in April 2026. Food is tasty and well executed, cocktail/drinks menu is simple, not too, too many options to choose from . We loved the Hungarian Traditional fish soup with noodles, it was a fun try. Note: they include a 15% service fee in the bill. So no need to add anything extra as a tip. Although we liked the food and the ambiance, we found this restaurant and Budapest overall, rather expensive.
