The food is mediocre, service is not great either. It is extremely expensive for what you get. This restaurant used to be one of the best (20years ago) since it is only a tourist trap and yes the atmosphere is great but the food is not good. Huge disappointment.

My grandfather remembered eating here in the 1980s and my family loved eating here for special events for past 20yrs. It is still fresh, hot, delicious foods full of unique pairings and Hungarian authenticity. The servers are incredibly professional, knowledgeable and warm. Their outdoor seating is lovely and inside is cozy. They are so kind to kids and have a playscape.

We had lunch at Náncsi Néni Vendéglője, and every dish delivered exactly what one expects from a classic Hungarian restaurant. The Hortobágy-style meat pancakes were rich and well-balanced, the beef soup was clear, deep, and truly homemade in character. The catfish paprikash was smooth and harmonious, while the cottage cheese dumplings were light and well executed. The crispy pork knuckle was perfectly done—crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. The floating island dessert provided a classic and satisfying finish. Service was attentive and efficient throughout. Overall, a reliable, traditional Hungarian kitchen with solid execution and good ingredients.

We visited this place as it was a childhood favorite of mine when i still lived in Hungary and it hasn’t changed a bit! The food was overall tasty - save for a few questionable side options, like the potato donuts that are served with the venison - but definitely a bit more on the pricey side. Nonetheless the atmosphere of the restaurant makes up for it, and their desserts were superb!

The food was excellent. I had grilled goat cheese, which was high-quality and perfectly prepared. The salad that came with it was a bit old-school, but I guess it suits the style of the cuisine. My husband had halászlé, and it was truly delicious. We finished with a sweet touch—chocolate soufflé. There was nothing to complain about. We will definitely be back!
