The space is nice, the staff as well. The food….we had the vadrozsa appetiser (it was really bland, flavourless, the vegetables were old, rubbery), the goat cheese salad (the cheese was decent but probably from the supermarket, the salad definitely from a bag, with some balsamic vinegar tossed on it), the ribeye dish (the steak was overcooked, the sauce really salty, without any other flavour) and the fish (the fish itself was good, the sauce too salty and really heavy). I ordered a glass of red wine as well…. It was oxidated. The place is definitely overpriced and I do not recommend it.

Unforgettable culinary and hospitality experience! This is the place where you'll have royalty treatment and you'll eat like a King! The restaurant is nestled in beautiful part (one of the many!) of the city, away from the regular tourist crowd, but still very easy approachable by the public transportation. You will enjoy historical building which once belonged to a famous Hungarian actor who made his career in the Hollywood. We can't wait to come back during the summer and enjoy extraordinary patio. Thank you for having us!

A great meal experienced at Vadrózsa. Everything prepared was as close to perfect as one can get, all needs were handled with impeccable timing, and the ambiance was beautiful - including the accompanying piano. Could not have asked for anything more by the end of our meal. Receiving our coats while departing we were asked how everything was. All I could say is that it was “like dining in a dream”. The experience was beautiful. Our next visit to Budapest will include Vadrózsa Étterem - and that wait may need to be expedited to experience it again sooner.

Dinner here feels like stepping into a secret villa from another century. Candlelight bouncing off old stone walls, soft music, and dishes that look like they were plated by memory, not trend. Everything tastes deliberate, the kind of cooking that respects silence between bites. Service is graceful, timing perfect, and the whole experience unfolds like a quiet ritual. Hidden, romantic, and deeply human, the kind of place you remember long after the last glass of wine.

It was our first time at the restaurant, and our expectations were absolutely met. It is a cozy place, shady garden, hospitality at its best. To me it was like stepping into the 1920’s, the atmosphere and intelligence of the place. I very much recommend the Wellington! :) Yes, the prices are in top category, but the experience also.
