Absolute worst parking experience of my life – AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This parking facility is a complete disaster and easily the worst parking lot/garage I have ever encountered in my entire life. Do not ignore the flood of negative reviews—this place has earned every single one of them, and then some. We drove all the way up to the 4th floor searching for an available spot, moment when we elected to abandon the search due to very narrow spaces and concerns to even damage the car. People really should see on the wall, how many scratch marks were on it from damaged cars. After wasting time circling the levels, we decided to leave—total time inside: less than 10 minutes. But here's the outrageous part: to exit, the barrier wouldn't open unless we paid 900 Ft. For what? We didn't park. We didn't use any space. We literally just entered, found it unacceptable, and tried to leave. When I questioned the staff member about why we had to pay for absolutely nothing, the response was shockingly unprofessional—rude, dismissive, and zero empathy. This is straight-up exploitation. Many other reviewers describe the exact same scam: enter a hopelessly ruined garage, find no spot up until the 4th f

AVOID THIS PARKING LOT. Their low ratings reflect systemic issues: poor security policies, inconsistent service quality, and questionable billing practices. There are better-managed facilities in the area that will treat you fairly and professionally.

Avoid Oktogon Parkolóház at all costs, an absolute rip-off! (Would give zero stars if I could) I was charged an outrageous 61,000 HUF (over €150) for a stay of less than 72 hours. This is highway robbery, not parking. When I questioned the absurd fee, the staff coldly informed me that we should have paid in advance, otherwise they charge by the hour. Here’s the issue: there was NO clear signage in English – the universal language used for international travelers – to explain this policy. Nor did any staff member mention this when we entered. Instead, they rely on a lack of communication to trap unsuspecting tourists with hidden fees. This kind of predatory pricing model is disgraceful and deeply unprofessional. Stay far away from Oktogon Parkolóház.

It should be zero stars, but there isn't such an option. We left the car in this parking lot from 4th July 7:29pm to 6th July 11am, so less than 48 hours and we were charged 90 EUROS for that. The worst part was that the price on the internet was said to be much cheaper. So when we asked the staff why that was so much more expensive they said that if we were staying more than 24 hours we had to pay the parking before leaving the car to pay less. But since we didn't, we were charged like three times the regular price. And there is no information at the parking lot or online about it, at least not in English, which is the international spoken language. Also, when we tried to argue with the staff that there was no information about it at the spot, they said we could call the police if we were unhappy. Such a scam. In the pictures you can see that we stayed only a bit more than 24 hours and payed this absurd much. Not to mention that the parking spots are really tight. I don't recommend it one bit and will never come back to this place. A really awful experience that kind of ruined our stay in Budapest.

Everything was fine. If you know your way around is all good. A bit tight spaces, I don't recommend going in with big cars. If you stay more days don't forget to go to the reception and exchange your hourly ticket to daily ticket.
