This hospital is a Third-World ruin and slum masquerading as a healthcare facility, filled with an all-pervasive smell of death. Respect to the staff who keep going despite everything.

One of the worst receptions I have ever seen in my life. They ignored me, laughed on my face even though the place was empty and after were being rude at all the time. Also, it says it is 24h but saw people that were needing help being denied and kept on the street. If you can, avoid at all costs.

Horrible. I got a bad cut on my arm in an accident and tried to find an emergency room late at night (1-2 AM approx). A doctor from back home (because I am a student here in Budapest) said it can heal if I keep it clean and bandaged, but ideally it should be stitched because it was a bit deep — go to an emergency room he said - even though I did not want stitches. So I tried looking for somewhere. First one was no use so came here after to see. The website says open 24 hrs. But noone was there, doors closed, ye. Keep in mind I was alone late at night and had an arm that couldn't stop bleeding. Maybe it had to be with an ambulance? but some told me it was not necessary and emergency rooms you can just go - guess not. Should have trusted my gut and settled for the bandage from the beginning. However, at least after about 2hrs 30mins bleeding slowed. So hoping for the best I guess. I dunno.

Slowly We Rot: Hungarian Hospitals in 2025 A State-of-the-Art Facility (Circa 1845) Climate Control? Bruhaha Sanitation Standards: A New Low Staffing: A Numbers Game With only 43 nurses per 100 hospital beds, Hungary ranks last among surveyed countries. The overworked and underpaid staff are stretched thin, impacting patient care. Patient Experiences: Tales of Woe Patients recount harrowing experiences, including lack of air conditioning in ICUs, no lighting in bathrooms, and absence of basic facilities like toilet seats and running water. Infections: An Unwanted Bonus Hospital-acquired infections are a growing concern, with patients fearing for their health due to inadequate hygiene and sanitation practices. Conclusion Hungary's healthcare system in 2025 serves as a testament to years of neglect and mismanagement. Not very helpful and poor communication. We came in as an emergency after food allergy. Would not recommend this hospital. We are traveling from Australia and have a baby that breastfeeds and we needed food while mum was in the room. They could not help and we had to wait outside. Were waiting to find out what was happening inside or get just a banana or something for the baby. They did not assist receptionist sat on phone behind a wall.
