Absolutely one of our best meals in Budapest. We came here for the lunch menu, and the value for money was excellent. The goulash soup was rich, flavourful and tasted properly homemade, and the Székely cabbage with pork was even better — tender meat, sauerkraut, paprika sauce and sour cream, very comforting and full of flavour. Nothing felt overly touristy or fancy; it was just proper traditional Hungarian food done really well. Portions were generous, prices were very reasonable, and the whole meal felt authentic. Definitely worth coming here, especially for lunch. Much better than some of the more touristy restaurants in central Budapest. I would absolutely come back.

Loved it! They say, it's a restaurant where locals go, but the menu is in 5 different languages, so I kinda wonder if locals ever get a chance. Absolutely loved the interior, the food was delicious, a little homemade vibe. The wine was great, too. Would recommend to reserve in advance; I walked in shortly after they opened and still got a table, but it filled up pretty quickly. Definitely a from-time-to-time dinner spot in BUD.

This was our first time trying Hungarian food and we were not dissapointed. The portions were massive and the flavours were there. We had the mushroom and chicken paprikash and were expecting more of a paprika flavour, but we do not have a comparison, so maybe thats just the dish! The server was very nice and the service was fast. The menu had loads of good options and the prices are good value for money!

We read about this restaurant and it was only 5 minutes from our hotel,so we thought we'd give it a try. Was very quiet on our arrival, but filled up during the course of the evening. Only one gentleman on duty, taking all the orders, serving food and everything as well, busy busy man. We had a lovely meal,I went for the local beef tripe, which is a favourite of mine, don't see it all back home so had to try it,was delicious. June went for the chicken with paprika and dumplings, once again, very generous portions, tasty and well presented. With a couple of drinks each and food less than £20pp,great value for money. Traditional food in Traditional settings, well recommended.

The food here was delicious and such a good deal! I came here twice during my four day trip in Budapest and both times were a hit. I did notice however that the service was inconsistent when it was busy in terms of friendliness and that they forgot to give us bread that I did receive on my first visit and saw on other tables. But anyway that can be expected when it’s busy and the food definitely makes up for it. My favourite was their Hortobagyi Palacsinta and I also recommend their homemade lemonades and Goulash. I am a light eater so I didn’t order dessert during both of my visits but for 3 courses, 3,800 HUF is definitely a deal! Highly recommend!
