What a fab coffee and cake shop. Definitely needed a an iced latte! The chimney cakes were excellent! I don't think they even need a coating. I had the vanilla cake with pistachio cream. I couldn't chinos it, so that will be good for an afternoon snack.

I visited Scoop & Chimney in Budapest. The ice cream itself was good and tasted pretty normal. The shop was clean, nicely decorated, and had a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the cold chimney cone was disappointing. The outside was dry, while the inside was doughy and undercooked, almost like eating a baguette that wasn’t fully baked. It didn’t have the texture I was expecting, so I wouldn’t order the chimney cone again.

The chimney ice cream was quite average. In my opinion, you can find much better chimney ice cream elsewhere. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really stand out or meet my expectations.

Not the most welcoming or friendliest service. It was our first chimney cake so we were unsure what to have or order and a littlw prompting would have gone a long way but they had no interest in communication. The cakes were okay, a little heavy and dry but im not sure if they are meant to be like that so maybe not the shops fault?

My experience was pretty good. The only downside is the long wait. The coffee is delicious. I highly recommend the pastries with raspberry crumble and white chocolate. They’re incredibly tasty. They have a wide selection of ice cream here.
