The cashiers have a very poor attitude and are not suitable for customer-facing roles. Their behavior creates a very negative impression, especially in such a popular tourist area, and reflects poorly on the country. I will not shop at this supermarket again.

I am writing this review to share a highly distressing experience my group and I had at this store today. We arrived at the premises ten minutes before the official closing time. Before we were even aware of her position, a woman who we later found out was the store manager aggressively blocked us from entering, rudely stating that the store was already closed. After some insistence, she eventually allowed us inside, but she did so with visible annoyance, hostility, and extreme disrespect. Furthermore, it became painfully clear to us that her attitude worsened significantly the moment she realized we were tourists. Seeking to resolve the situation properly, we approached another employee and asked to speak with the manager. To our absolute shock, the employee walked us directly back to the exact same woman who had just mistreated us. When the employee informed us that this woman was indeed the manager, she literally laughed right in our faces. Upon realizing that we wished to speak with her in her official capacity, she then turned her back on us and completely refused to speak to us or address our concerns. I’d like to share some feedback about our recent visit to this SPAR supermarket in Budapest. We are tourists and only speak English, so we understand that language barriers can happen. However, the overall customer service experience was very disappointing. We were trying to purchase a few simple items, including three doughnuts. At the till, we were asked to go back and get a label for them. When I went to the doughnut section, there were no labels available as the doughnuts appeared to be freshly made and needed to be bagged manually. This was quite confusing, especially without clear guidance. Meanwhile, my family was left at the till with a queue of around 15 people building up behind them, which made the situation quite stressful and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the staff member assisting us did not offer much help. She continued speaking in Hungarian and didn’t attempt to find a way to communicate or call over a colleague who might have been able to assist in English. I went back to the doughnut section, found what I believed was the correct code, and returned to the till. At some point, the code seemed to be entered, but it did not clearly show, and the situation remaine

This is one of the best restaurants in Budapest. The staff are extremely friendly and respectful, and the food is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone if you’re visiting Budapest, you should definitely come here. They also have an ice bar, which is truly fantastic, and the bartender, Omid, was very friendly as well

Two of the four self checkouts closed for no reason even though the store was extremely busy. Is it really that hard to keep the self checkout open? Extremely rude security woman sitting on the chair next to the self checkout barking at me in Hungarian- didn’t like when I took a picture of the closed self check out areas. Repont Recycling machine also not working at 7:30 PM.
