A traditional Hungarian restaurant serving authentic dishes. Great service, atmosphere, and food. Cool open kitchen. My goulash and pasta were amazing. Fish special was perfectly prepared also. Attentive service. English menu available. Credit card accepted.

Incredible meal we had here on our trip to Budapest. So much flavour in every dish. We were stuffed by the end! Highly recommend to come as it’s easy transport on the tram. Make sure to book a reservation

I will start with the bad and move towards the good. The worst bit of the night was the service upon getting seated I requested if I could have my reservation moved indoors due to it being very warm and whilst this was complied with I got a snarky comment from the man seating me where he threw his hands up in the air and said well, it is warm sometimes. When you are paying these prices, you expect a little bit more professionalism than that. When taking my order he was also very impatient evidently viewing me as a low valued customer as I was ordering off of the set menu and I’m 18 but potentially look younger so obviously wasn’t thought of as much worth his time. The atmosphere is alright, I expected a slightly nicer interior considering the price, the chairs were comfortable enough but nothing luxurious and the tables looked a little bare and felt a little plastic, not a big deal but I expected slightly nicer. The food was the strongest part of the evening. The complementary starter of sourdough with two home-made sauces was delicious. The goulash was 2nd to none beautifully rich and very easy to eat with melt in the mouth beef. The rosé duck was absolutely beautiful with an a

We went to Bistro 25 spontaneously on our trip to Budapest. Right when we entered, the staff was super friendly and despite not having reserved a table, we were seated right away. Each of us got a starter, the wild garlic soup and the duck foie gras, which were both absolutely delicious. We also got a bread basket with warm bread, homemade butter and lard and omg, the butter was great! But the real star was the main dish. We got the wild boar beef cheek and the rosé duck breast. Whilst both were superb, I have to say that never in my life have I eaten such a duck breast, and I have eaten a lot of duck. Perfectly pink, absolutely tender and just perfect. We went to three cities within two weeks and tried a lot of restaurants, for me this was definitely on Nr.1!

Came here twice during our stay in Budapest. Nice selection of Hungarian dishes. A must try are definitely the house Langos, the shrimp Caesar salad and the Gulyas. Mains-wise, we tried the wild boar with dumplings (quite nice but a bit rich), the salmon fillet on peas risotto (actually very tasty, still a large plate) and the Brassoi style pork (nice and very rich). For desserts, we tried the Somloi which was amazing. On our last occasion, one waiter especially helped us with our questions about the Hungarian cuisine and ingredients.
