Impressive and uplifting, it is one of the most beautiful churches! Not only because of its location, but also because of its design! Tickets can be purchased online, and those who feel fit enough can go up to the tower, where the view is beautiful! I recommend it to everyone visiting this part of Pest.

Walking in, I immediately understood why this is one of Budapest’s most famous landmarks. The scale is impressive, but what really stayed with me was how elegant and bright the interior feels. It’s grand without feeling cold, and there’s always another detail pulling your attention upward. The tower is the part I’d insist you include. From the panoramic terrace, you get an amazing view of the city and a much closer look at the dome and surrounding architecture. It turns a beautiful church visit into something much more memorable. Don’t just photograph it from the square and leave. Go inside, look up, and make the climb. It ended up being one of my favorite places in Budapest.

A grand neoclassical masterpiece that anchors the Budapest skyline! The Perfect Sister Landmark: When you visit the Hungarian Parliament, you absolutely cannot miss heading inland to see St. Stephen's Basilica. It is a stunning, monumental landmark named in honor of Hungary's first king. A fascinating architectural detail is that both this Basilica and the Parliament building are designed to be exactly 96 meters tall to symbolize the harmony and equality between state and church. No building in the city is allowed to be higher! The Majestic Exterior & Plaza: The Basilica sits at the head of a gorgeous, wide-open stone plaza filled with lively cafes and restaurants. The massive neoclassical dome and twin bell towers create a deeply imposing and photogenic facade that looks spectacular from the ground. The Opulent Interior: Stepping inside is a breathtaking experience. The interior is lavishly decorated with dark marbles, intricate gold leaf work, and spectacular stained-glass windows. The acoustics inside are magnificent, and if you are lucky, you might catch the echo of the grand pipe organ during a recital. The Holy Right Hand: For history enthusiasts, the church houses one of

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ St. Stephen's Basilica is one of the most beautiful and impressive landmarks in Budapest. From the moment I arrived, I was amazed by its magnificent architecture, elegant dome, and stunning façade. The basilica is a true masterpiece and an essential stop for anyone visiting the city. The interior is absolutely breathtaking, with soaring ceilings, beautiful frescoes, intricate marble decorations, magnificent altars, and colorful stained-glass windows. Every detail reflects exceptional craftsmanship and creates a peaceful, inspiring atmosphere. Whether you visit for its religious significance, historical importance, or architectural beauty, the experience is truly unforgettable. One of the highlights of the visit was the panoramic terrace at the top of the dome, which offers spectacular 360-degree views of Budapest. Seeing the city's skyline, the Danube River, the Hungarian Parliament, and Buda Castle from above was an incredible experience and well worth the climb or elevator ride. The basilica is well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. Its central location also makes it easy to combine with other nearby attractions, restaurants, and

An unforgettable experience! Be sure to get an all-inclusive ticket, visit the observation deck, and explore the small museum beneath the Basilica. Also, be sure to stay in the main hall for a longer period, admire all the decorations, and truly enjoy and feel connected to something greater. A wonderful place!

I wasn't expecting to be so impressed by St. Stephen's Basilica, but it quickly became one of my favorite places in Budapest. Walking toward it from the Danube side gives you a breathtaking first impression, and the closer you get, the more you notice the incredible detail and beauty of the architecture. The inside is just as stunning as the exterior. If you visit, don't miss the panoramic terrace. The views over Budapest are absolutely beautiful and definitely worth the climb. It's the perfect place to take in the city from above and appreciate one of its most iconic landmarks.

One of the most beautiful church I've ever seen!!! Giant, amazing architecture, very beautiful. The ticket to visit only the basilica is not so expensive, but if you want to visit the roof, is about €34. It's a great view from upstairs

St. Stephen’s Basilica was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we stepped inside, we were amazed by the stunning architecture, intricate details, and the peaceful yet grand atmosphere. Every corner of the basilica felt majestic and beautifully designed. Climbing up to the tower was truly worth it — the view from the top completely took our breath away. Seeing the city from above was an unforgettable experience and made the visit even more special. It’s definitely a must-see landmark and one of the most impressive places we visited.
