Hungarian Language School

As a native English speaker, I’ve been exposed to Hungarian for over 20 years—hearing my spouse speak it at home and spending several weeks in Hungary each year. My private virtual lessons with Magyar Iskola have been structured and academically appropriate, helping me fill important gaps in grammar and formal usage while steadily improving my comprehension and vocabulary. My instructor, Agnes, is knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. She provides just the right amount of homework and accountability between a flexible lesson schedule, making meaningful progress feel manageable alongside work and other responsibilities. I highly recommend Magyar Iskola to other adult learners.

I had a fantastic experience with Magyar Iskola in Budapest, especially thanks to their wonderful receptionist Natalia. From the very beginning, she was incredibly patient, professional, and kind while helping me choose the right course for my needs. I contacted the school several times by phone and email with many questions, and Natalia always responded with care, clear explanations, and genuine willingness to help. Her friendly attitude and excellent communication made the whole process easy and stress-free. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and supportive. Natalia truly made me feel welcomed and confident in my decision. I highly recommend Magyar Iskola to anyone looking for a professional and friendly language school in Budapest!

I started my Hungarian course from the very beginning, and choosing Magyar Iskola was definitely a worthwhile decision. My positive impression began from the moment I arrived — the welcoming reception, cozy classrooms, and the friendly atmosphere throughout the school. I especially like the idea of having two teachers who alternate every day, each bringing their own focus and teaching style. In the classroom, there is no fear of saying something wrong, even though the language itself is quite difficult. After just a few lessons, you are already able to form simple sentences and feel more confident communicating in everyday situations with local people. The location is perfect and the price is affordable. I definitely recommend it!

What a great school! If you want to learn Hungarian - that's the place to go to. Attentive teachers. Pleasant classes. Friendly staff and decent prices. The school offers different levels (beginner to advanced), online and frontal lessons. Recommended.
