Had a splendid dinner here with great views of the Basilica. We wanted to eat some Hungarian food but were also trying to be careful of tourist traps with inflated menu prices, which is most restaurants in the city center. This place was the perfect choice! Many Hungarians came and dinned here as we were having our meal: both alone, couples, and with family. It was a clear indication this place is favoured by locals. There is a great variety of dishes, and the prices are pretty good. The portions are also great, leaving you quite fulfilled. We had the set dinner menu with 1 soup/sallad, 1 main, and 1 dessert. The price was well below 20€. You get water for free, and also lots of bread as an accompaniment for the soup dish. Neither is charged, unlike other places. The caesar’s sallad was creamy, the fish soup was rich in flavour, and the mains were very tasty. Desserts were a bit sweet but that was fine. The waiter was also very pleasant guy, always smiling and talking in a soft polite manner. Definitely recommended restaurant to anyone who wants to eat good food, with decent prices, and in a central location with great views!

Stumbled across this place as we’re walking around in 38° heat. They have a fan with the water spray which cooled us off instantly. We went for the special menu had the garlic cream soup absolutely beautiful for entree. Then we had the pork knuckle, also delicious The portions are huge, and the taste amazing. There’s only one man waiting tables and he was absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend and well with it. For this area, it’s great value.

I had an excellent experience in this restaurant. Food was very nice and served very quick. I was admired of the service by George and Eaf. Those guys were very welcomed and kind with me. I got complementary dessert which was strudel cake. And this was mind blowing. I strongly recommend this place and want to thank again and again stuff for bringing me such a good experience.

We had the Tourist menu, (17€) the order came fast, the beef goulash was delicious, and the chicken Paprikas was really big portion I could not finish it. For 2 menus and 4 drinks we paid 75€ (including a service charge). The food is good, location great and we enjoyed the sunny weather on the terrace.Only thing is confusing all this type of extra charges on top of your order. Anyway if you want to try the Hungarian cuisine go for it.

Wonderful place, amazing service. Dishes are very traditional and if you are looking for Hungary food you found the correct place Also is in front of the Basilica so you can contemplate this incredible building. Also the price is very fair, you can get the combo for soup, main dish and desert for ~20€ and it can satisfy two people.
