Great food! I got the beef stew and the house beer and I truly loved it. The waiter Richard is so polite and kind. He made sure I enjoyed my food, recommend me a drink and even gave me some Palinka as a gift. This was my first meal in Budapest and it was extra special with Richard’s service. I’ll definitely come back during my stay in the city.

We really enjoyed our time at Fat Mama! We tried the roast goose salad for our starters, which was absolutely incredible and easily the highlight of our meal. Richard made our experience even better by being incredibly attentive and friendly. He went above and beyond by giving us some great sightseeing options when we asked for recommendations. Lovely food and wonderful hospitality, highly recommend!

This was an amazing place with a great atmosphere. Our waiter was fantastic and incredibly accommodating throughout the evening. There’s also a live band playing music and a lovely seating area out the back, which really adds to the experience. I initially wasn’t too sure what to order, but after seeing the chicken tenders advertised as “Budapest’s best chicken tenders”, I felt like I had to give them a go — and I’m glad I did. They may be quite a simple dish and nothing like the traditional food Budapest has to offer, but they definitely didn’t disappoint and were an experience in themselves. We ended up here during the 2026 World Cup final and the atmosphere was amazing. What I particularly appreciated was that we weren’t rushed out once we had finished eating. We were allowed to stay and watch the entire match, which made the evening even better. I also wanted to try their ice cream, which seems to be very popular, but unfortunately the ice cream menu had closed by around 11 PM. So, if you’re planning to try it, I’d recommend ordering it before then. Instead, I went for the cheesecake, which also didn’t disappoint. Overall, I’d definitely recommend trying the food here. The

We walked past a few times on our travels and thought it looked great. We were not disappointed. The food was outstanding, portion size was huge that I couldn't eat it all. Brisket was awesome. Our server Zack was excellent and very professional and polite. The vibes with the live music and fire pit are great. A chill atmosphere with good food and music. What more do we need.

During my trip to Budapest I visited this place to try some traditional Hungarian food. The dishes I tried were tasty and it was a nice experience to taste the local cuisine. The service was also very good — the waiter was extremely polite and friendly. I liked the fact that he recognised where we were from and knew a few things about our country, which made the interaction feel more personal. The only downside for me was that the place felt a bit expensive, and the service charge felt somewhat unjustified and a bit too high. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ Patrick ✨
