An authentic restaurant serving delicious local cuisine. The soups were absolutely amazing, the salads were fresh, and the sausages and duck were fantastic... The service was excellent! Our waitress, Fanni, was incredibly friendly and even tried to find out the secret recipe for the fish soup for us 🤭 Highly recommended! We would definitely come back! ⭐️

So anyone planning a short getaway or a longer vacation in Budapest should head to the 5th District and check out this restaurant. At first glance, it looks like a typical tourist trap, but it’s not. The waitstaff are very courteous, not pushy, yet attentive. Make sure Vanda is your server—she's received excellent training. She's attentive, but not pushy. The food is excellent—I had the goulash, and both versions were very tasty. The background music and the musicians are very unobtrusive. Of course, they’d appreciate a tip. I highly recommend this restaurant. The prices are reasonable for this area and the atmosphere.

Great atmosphere. Waited a little bit so we could sit outside! We got the beef stew with cottage cheese and bacon pasta and the chicken schnitzel. Both were absolutely delicious. I had the raspberry lemonade; it was so good with real raspberries. My friend got the Soproni Cherry Beer; I don’t drink beer but it was sooo good. Our waiter Zoltan was attentive and gave great recommendations. Definitely recommend Hungarian Hell’svKutchen!

One of the best dining decisions of our entire Budapest trip. Hungarian Hell’s Kitchen has everything you want from a traditional Hungarian experience — warm atmosphere, beautiful décor and live music that sets the perfect evening mood. We had the chicken pancakes and the wild pork — both absolutely outstanding. Rich, flavourful, generous portions and honest Hungarian cooking at its very best. A very special shout out to our waiter Csaba — warm, knowledgeable, attentive and full of character from start to finish. He guided us through the menu with genuine passion and made the whole evening feel personal and memorable. Csaba is a true credit to this restaurant. If you’re in Budapest and want authentic Hungarian food with exceptional service — don’t hesitate. Highly recommended

I had an amazing dining experience at Hell’s Kitchen! I tried the traditional Hungarian beef goulash soup, the beef stew with nokedli, the Somlói Galuska dessert, and a traditional Hungarian drink. Every single dish was delicious and full of authentic flavor. The soup, the main course, and the dessert were all absolutely fantastic. The traditional drink was a bit strong for my personal taste, but that’s only because I don’t usually drink alcohol. If you enjoy traditional spirits, you’ll probably love it. A special thank you to Tomàs, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the dishes, gave me great recommendations, and made me feel truly welcome throughout my visit. Excellent food, wonderful services, and a great atmosphere. Thank you for such a memorable experience—I would definitely come back next time! Narges🌺

I visited Hell’s Kitchen in Budapest and overall I had a very good experience. The food was tasty, the service was excellent, and Viktor really made a difference with how attentive and friendly he was. The restaurant has a nice location with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere feels lively, especially when there is live music in the background. I would say it is a bit pricey, but the quality and service help justify it if you are looking for a nicer meal out. It is a good place to go when you want a relaxed but polished dinner, especially if you enjoy a place with some energy and a pleasant setting. If you are planning to go, I would recommend checking whether there is live music that night, since that can make the experience even better. One thing to keep in mind is that prices are on the higher side, so it may not be the best choice if you are looking for a budget-friendly meal to get a taste of Hungarian food. If you want the best experience, I would go a little earlier to enjoy the seating options and avoid any rush, especially if you prefer a quieter dinner. Overall, I would happily recommend it for good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere in Budap

I came here twice on my trip because I enjoyed the food, drinks and this spot was literally a minute walk or less from the Airbnb I rented during my stay in Budapest. Zoltan was my server for both nights. On my first evening service took awhile (which wasn’t a good thing since I had to catch my boat cruise down the Danube River) but it was okay since the food was amazing. I had a chicken paprikash and a lemonade with elderberry (so refreshing!). During my 2nd time dining here, it was my last night in Budapest so I thought it would be convenient to just eat here. I also didn’t have plans this night so I took my time with dinner. Zoltan recognized me right away, and I sat in my same seat haha. Once again I ordered the chicken paprikash, lemonade with elderberry AND a langos. I only ate half the langos but they packaged the rest in box that I took back to my airbnb. Also they had music playing both nights! They have a skilled violist who played throughout the night- fun entertainment while you’re eating. Since I was also dining solo- there was no wait for a table. I would not hesitate to stop here again on a future trip to Budapest. Thank you, Zoltan and staff for fun and lovely

We had a lovely experience at Hungarian Hell’s Kitchen. The atmosphere was calm and really enjoyable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, which made us feel very welcome. The garlic soup served in bread was absolutely delicious and definitely the highlight of our meal. Our main dish was meat ،it was good, but nothing particularly special or exciting in terms of flavor. Overall, a nice place with great service and a relaxing vibe.
