About Hungarikum Bisztró

Hungarikum Bisztró is a Hungarian restaurant or csárda in Budapest District V. It is listed at Budapest, Steindl Imre u. 13, 1051, one of the local businesses residents and visitors turn to.

Restaurants in Hungary usually open from around 11:00 until about 22:00, while bars and ruin bars stay open much later from Thursday to Saturday. On weekdays many places serve a napi menü, a fixed-price lunch of soup and a main course, typically from 11:00 to 15:00. Book a table for Friday and Saturday evenings and public holidays. Many bills already include a service charge (usually 10–15%); if not, a tip of around 10% is customary but never compulsory. Many restaurants also accept the SZÉP card, the employer-funded leisure card.

According to Google, Hungarikum Bisztró keeps these hours: daily, 12:00–14:30 and 18:00–22:00. It is open seven days a week. There is a break during the day, so the hours are split into two blocks. It opens on Sunday too, as many restaurants and cafés in Hungary do. Expect changes around holidays such as Christmas Eve, Christmas, Easter and 20 August, and call first if you are making a special trip. The listed phone number is +36 30 661 6244. It is shown in international format with the +36 country code, so it works from Hungary and from abroad alike; within Hungary you can also dial 06 instead of +36. Its website is hungarikumbisztro.hu, where you may find prices, details of what it offers or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 10,744 reviews, a strong result for a Hungarian restaurant or csárda that suggests consistent service.

We loved the home made traditional Hungarian food and were lucky enough to experience some live music too, we discovered what a cimbalom is, a beautiful instrument. Thanks for providing the tablet with photos of menu items and English descriptions, nice touch! The staff were very friendly, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely visit again next time we're in town, we were very satisfied indeed. Highly recommended. Köszönöm! ❤️

Had a great dinner experience in Budapest.I vistited on january the atmosphere was warm and very welcoming, and the service was amazing. Every dish was explained in detail, which made the experience feel more special. The goulash soup was excellent and the crispy duck was incredibly tender and delicious. As a nice surprise, we were also offered shots of a traditional local drink. Definitely recommended if you want to try traditional Hungarian food.

An unforgettable gourmet experience in Budapest! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐If you are looking for a place with a truly pleasant and cozy atmosphere in Budapest, you simply cannot miss Hungarikum Bisztro. We left absolutely thrilled. The staff was incredibly kind, smiling, and fast, which perfectly enhanced the overall lunch experience. The food was simply excellent – if you want to taste traditional Hungarian dishes in the best possible quality, this is the right place. Everything was perfectly seasoned and fresh. As a cherry on top and a very nice bonus, we received a glass of apple liqueur for digestion at the end, which made us very happy. One small recommendation: the restaurant is always full, so you had better make a reservation in advance. The visit is definitely worth it and I highly recommend Hungarikum Bisztro to everyone!

Amazing place to try hungarian traditional food! The staff is super nice, speak multiple languages and explain the dishes. There is live music which also adds a nice touch. The food was amazing and delicious. I can recommend everyone to go there if visiting Budapest! The Gulash soup is a must and if you like it, they even give you the recipe which is a nice addition.

If you are heading to Hungarikum Bisztró, make sure to book a reservation well in advance because they are always fully booked! The atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and the service is exceptionally friendly, making you feel right at home. While I personally wasn't a fan of their beef goulash, the rest of the menu is a total win. The Both Loins menus were fantastic and perfectly prepared, but the absolute star of the show was the duck leg-it was easily the best part of the meal! It is a lovely spot for an authentic dinner, just be sure to skip the stew and go for the duck or the loins instead.
