It's honestly the best traditional restaurant we ate at in Budapest. The food was delicious and the portions were rather generous. The prices were reasonable and the service very quick. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly as well. The best part though was our waiter! He was so friendly and kind and tried to make small talk with everyone. He even tried to use some greek phrases when he learned where we were from and treated us to a small dessert! We had a wonderful experience, definitely recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Ildikó Konyhája. The hospitality was beyond anything we expected. From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for, almost like we were guests in someone’s home rather than customers in a restaurant. The goulash was simply outstanding, easily one of the best we have ever tasted. Rich, authentic, comforting, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was prepared with so much care and passion. A very special thank you to Mr. Sándor for his kindness, warmth, and incredible hospitality. He made the entire evening unforgettable with his positive energy and genuine attention. People like him are the reason why some places stay in your heart long after you leave. If you are in Budapest, this place is an absolute must-visit. Exceptional food, exceptional people, exceptional memories.

This is a 10star type of place. A friend of ours who is Hungarian said we had to eat here when we came. She said it is her favorite place when she come to visit. It is the best most authentic Hungarian food in Budapest. It is a small locally owned establishment and the food is amazing!! Their goulash is wonderful and I had the chicken with ragout and mushroom sauce. The food is wonderful and the portions our generous. The service was great too. If you're in Budapest, come here you will not be disappointed.

Nice Hungarian food, food was great, loved it, was in queue for 30 minutes but wait was worth. We were wandering and noticed this Restaurant. Recommend this if you are in Budapest. #budapest #food #hungary

😯 wow! What a super lunch here 🩷 Staff were very warm and friendly, and spoke many different languages. I love that the menu features a smaller portion of a couple of the main dishes, it’s great if you’re not a big eater or want to save some money. I wish more restaurants had this option!! For me, the small portion was perfectly sized. I got the beef stew, which was amazing! Tender beef 🥩 in a hearty and deliciously seasoned stew, along with tender dumplings that go very nicely with the stew. There is also a spicy 🌶️ paprika sauce on the table, which was a wonderful addition to the stew. For my lunch I paid ~4000HUF which is equivalent to roughly £9. Very happy!! I highly recommend this place. Thanks for a tasty lunch! 😆🩷
