This was the BEST food I’ve had in Budapest. After travelling for about 2 months we were really craving home cooked delicious food. Especially after we ate at a tourist trap the night before and made us leave them a 5 star review in front of their eyes all because they gave us free alcohol. I saw this restaurant had good reviews so we decided to go and WOW were we blown away. We ordered the chicken pancake, veal schnitzel and duck with cabbage and potato. WOW wow wow. If you are coming to Budapest please do not skip out this restaurant. Our waiter (Alex I believe) was also lovely and packed our food up since we couldn’t eat it all. Truly a 10/10 experience.

This restaurant is a very good pick for traditional hungarian food. We had the goulash, chicken paprika pancakes and the cucumber salad with sour cream and it was delicious. It tasted very homemade which was very much needed during a long trip. Overall it is a must try when in budapest, having a great calming atmosphere and yummy food and drinks (lemonade is a must try!!).

We had an amazing dinner here! The grilled goose liver with apple purée was absolutely perfect—a must-try! The beef was cooked just right as well. The atmosphere was wonderful, probably because the weather was lovely too. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive. We accidentally lost track of time chatting until late, but our waiter was so patient with us. Highly recommend this place!

We had the paprika chicken stew with homemade pasta and a super food salad. It was just right for lunch on a hot day. There is air conditioning indoors. We sat right next to it. Good to cool down on a 31C day. Clean toilets downstairs. Lots of tables indoors and a few outdoors. Music choice seemed a little incongruent with this place which is a Hungarian restaurant.

“Timi” took our order. She was friendly and was able to chat with us not only about what to order…. but about Hungarian issues, too in her surprisingly good English. This was our second time to eat there. Yesterday’s dinner was great! - duck leg on braised purple cabbage and apple mashed potatoes so we returned. Very nice atmosphere there the second time too - until three musicians came in and were angling for tips. Great food. Decent prices.
