EDIT: DONT COME HERE. The results are kept by the GOVERNMENT. I can't access my results due to lack of a document, even though I PAID for this test. If you're going to pay, you can't access your results? I guess I have to find 7 hours free to spend the day in the immigration office to get this document just to see if I am sick or not :)))))) Die, Semmelweis. ... I came here for an STI test. I thought it would be free since I have all Hungarian documents and had medical reports showing I needed to get tested, however it costed me 22.000 HUFs. I arrived at 7am, but the room for STI test only opens at 8am. I didn't have an appointment, but as soon as the room opened I spoke to the receptionist and they asked me to wait. In the end I left the place at 9:30am, which is acceptable considering I didn't have an appointment (I was there on a Thursday, and as I see it is usually full, but it was not full in an unbearable way).

Horrible experience. After waiting for 2 hours, the doctor refused to test me or give me the treatment, despite my clear symptoms and risk exposure. He simply was unwilling to help me. Don’t come to this place.

They refused to do the HIV tests anonymously even though it is stated on the website that they do. And also other Hungarian friends were able to get it done anonymously. I tried asking so many times why, and they just kept dismissing me. Felt very discriminatory perhaps because im a foreigner, idk.

worst experience ever. The nurse was extremely rude and she felt the need to scream what she had to say. You go there for an emergency testing but they schedule you for december.. which is in 3 months.....hello? 2 weeks or 1 month it is still understandable but 3 months for a god damn test. Excuse me but where do you take your tests from? Mars?

Dr. Anikó Kovács was really helpful and cooperative. She interpreted the results of my blood tests and answered all my questions with a welcoming attitude and reassurance. She made me not worry any longer about my allergy issues. At the end, she prescribed the basic allergy medicine for me to take just in case, and she wrote it on an orange insurance paper that allowed me to buy the medicine later on at a highly discounted price. I am most grateful to her kindness and advice. Her assistant is also nice and polite. I didn't have to wait for longer than 10-15 minutes for both the times I visited the clinic. I wish the best for the staff working at Semmelweis University.
